Summer vs Grass

As much as we all love a good summer (and we do!) it can play havoc with your lawns, often causing browning and die back. As well as looking unsightly this also gives the weeds a great opportunity to shoot up.
A lot of our customers ask if there are any ways to combat this. The most obvious (and time consuming) remedy is using a sprinkler on a regular basis. Though some spring lawn feeds do contain a water retaining agent to help a little, this will not work for extended dry spells. We can however combat the weeds with various specific weed killers which do not affect grass. This means when the grass does start to grow back it has no competition.
In summary the very best remedy is having a lawn care plan, so it is as healthy as possible during those summer months. If you would like any help putting these into place please contact us.
